自從離開廣州隊之後 ，卡纳卡納瓦羅一直賦閑在家，瓦罗近日他接受意大利“TMW”專訪時談到自己在中國的中国执教執教經曆，並稱那是经历一段美妙的經曆 。
談到自己的美妙美国執教生涯 ，卡納瓦羅表示 ：“所有人都記得我卡納瓦羅是球队位球員 ，現在我成為了教練，邀请我在足球世界中的卡纳生活方式也發生了變化。幾年前我可能會對我自己說 ：‘你瘋了吧 ，瓦罗我可不會成為一名教練’ ，中国执教但是经历現在不同了，我已經被這種執教所帶來的美妙美国激情深深吸引 。”
“這些年我做了很多積極的球队事情 。我在中國時執教過亞洲最重要的邀请球隊之一 ，這是卡纳一段美妙的經曆 ，不管是在場上還是場下 。我給他們帶來了歐洲足球經驗 ，我參與過恒大新球場項目 。現在我回到了意大利 ，很開心有家人陪伴，我正在等一份來自歐洲的邀約 。”卡納瓦羅表示 。
隨後卡納瓦羅透露 ，他現在已經收到很多邀約 ，包括有來自美國的球隊，但他打算再等等 ，“2006年我就離開了意大利 ，海外經曆讓我成長 。我保留著意大利足球的概念 ，也擁有外國足球經驗 ，我想要找到一支球隊能讓我執教 ，意大利和英國都行 。”
最後 ，卡納瓦羅還談到了自己的老東家尤文圖斯，“尤文為C羅的離去付出了代價 。超級球星允許球隊犯一些錯誤 ，他的進球能掩蓋掉這些問題 ，C羅就是這樣踢球的。如果迪巴拉和小基耶薩能站出來 ，尤文就能忘掉C羅 。”
