北京時間3月21日 ，英媒據英國《每日鏡報》披露 ，曼联英超豪門曼徹斯特聯俱樂部的选帅选主教練選聘工作麵臨著重重困難，“紅魔教父”弗格森爵士和球隊“頭牌”C羅都有著話語權 ，困难而兩人支持著不同的重重候選人 。
上周在歐冠中被馬德裏競技擋在八強大門之外，弗格意味著曼聯已經連續第5個賽季無緣這一重要賽事的罗支錦標 。在力拚聯賽前四的同人同時 ，選帥工作更是英媒曼聯俱樂部當前最為重要的任務之一 。根據《每日鏡報》的曼联消息 ，曼聯的选帅选選帥工作困難重重 ，原因是困难擁有話語權的人過多 。按照正常的重重工作分工 ，足球總監約翰-穆塔夫將領導球隊長期主帥的弗格工作 ，技術總監弗萊徹和臨時主帥朗尼克作為協助，罗支三人擁有最終的決定權。穆塔夫在接受采訪時表示 ：“我們知道 ，在本賽季爭取前四名的過程中 ，穩定性是關鍵 。不過，這並不是曼聯的最終目標 ，俱樂部的每個人都專注於挑戰冠軍獎杯。我們將徹底任命一位新的主教練 ，他將在今年夏天正式上任 ，目標是讓我們重新回到挑戰國內和歐洲冠軍的行列 。”然而 ，實際的情況是 ，弗格森和C羅都在選帥的過程中擁有一定的話語權 ，這使得這項工作的推進變得非常困難 。
