北京時間3月28日 ，尼日西班牙媒體《阿斯報》消息 ，利亚有著非洲雄鷹之稱的乘船尼日利亞 ，日前踢了一場非洲杯預選賽 ，踢比倒不是赛压哨绝杀挺比賽內容引起了轟動 ，而是进非因為交通方式成為了世界體育媒體和球迷熱議的話題 。
根據安排，洲杯尼日利亞在當地時間3月27日有一場非洲杯預選賽 ，奇葩客場挑戰貝寧 。尼日由於地理上的利亚原因 ，尼日利亞沒有像其他國家隊一樣乘坐專機前往貝寧 ，乘船而是踢比乘船抵達了目的地。西班牙媒體《阿斯報》披露 ，赛压哨绝杀挺尼日利亞國家隊從拉各斯出發 ，进非乘坐船隻抵達了貝寧 ，路程共計88公裏 。該報直言 ，與傳統的乘坐專機方式相比 ，尼日利亞國家隊乘坐船隻，形成了巨大的反差 ，著實令人感到意外。而尼日利亞隊內的球員 ，有不少是高身價 ，譬如奧斯梅恩 ，那不勒斯去年夏天簽下他 ，足足花費了7500萬歐元 ，他也成為非洲雄鷹史上轉會費最高的球員 。
或許應了“順水推舟” ，尼日利亞客戰貝寧取得了一個不錯的賽果 ，奧努亞楚第93分鍾的壓哨絕殺 ，客場1-0小勝 。憑借著這場勝利，尼日利亞在非洲杯預選賽5輪戰罷 ，取得了3勝2平的成績 ，在還剩下一輪的情況下 ，領先第二名貝寧4分 ，提前一輪鎖定了參加明年1月份非洲杯的資格。
