4月20日晚 ，隨著一架自動駕駛飛行器將象征著中超至高榮譽的广州规蹈冠軍獎杯——火神杯“空降”入廣州天河體育中心體育場 ，2021賽季中超聯賽以一種特有的队开待“炫酷”方式拉開帷幕。揭幕戰“廣州德比”在現場近3萬名觀眾的示竞所期矚目下激情開場 ，回到“主場”的球迷廣州隊雖然由入籍國腳阿蘭打入聯賽新季首球 ，但仍被同城對手廣州城隊以2比2逼平。京媒局预矩恰如此開局似乎也預示著這個賽季中超的广州规蹈競爭不會循規蹈矩 ，而這恰恰是队开待中國職業足球與球迷所期待的 。
