歐冠半決賽首回合進行得如火如荼，欧足《泰晤士報》報道的将欧决赛决赛一則消息也格外勁爆 。據《泰晤士報》的冠半改消息 ，歐足聯正計劃對歐冠半決賽和決賽進行改製 ，单场取消半決賽傳統的组成足球周主客場製，改為將半決賽和決賽整合成一周的欧足“足球之周”的形式 。
如今的将欧决赛决赛主客場兩回合製 ，是冠半改在1955年確立的 ，至今已有67年的单场時間 。而自2024-25賽季開始 ，组成足球周歐冠將進行改製，欧足改製的将欧决赛决赛內容包括小組賽由6場增加至10場 ，有更多的冠半改球隊將參加歐冠正賽。
《泰晤士報》指出 ，单场歐洲足球俱樂部協會已經達成了一項決意 ，组成足球周已經出現了對於將歐冠半決賽改為單場淘汰製的支持者 。除此之外，歐冠半決賽和決賽還會由同一座城市承辦，感覺就像是在一個集中的區域舉辦一場足球嘉年華 ，與歐洲國家聯賽的形式類似。而歐足聯方麵則相信，以2019-20賽季的歐冠淘汰賽為參照 ，單場淘汰製更能增加比賽的刺激程度 。
事實上，歐足聯主席切費林，此前就曾暗示過這一切，“如果你看看超級碗 ，那是一場偉大的盛宴 ，他們用偉大的方式完成了它 。他們將人們集中起來，享受樂趣 。即便是你輸球了 ，你也可以得到更多的收入來補償 。對於廣播公司和讚助商來說 ，這將是無與倫比的事件 。在同一周裏 ，你還可以舉辦女足歐冠決賽或者青年賽事 ，你真的可以擁有夢幻般的足球之周 ，這樣的淘汰賽會有不一樣的激情 。”
