英格蘭隊在歐洲杯半決賽中依靠一粒爭議點球淘汰丹麥隊晉級 ，未來的欧足決賽也是在英格蘭進行，坊間傳聞歐足聯要力保三獅軍團奪冠 。联偏但克羅地亞足球名宿 、袒英現歐足聯官員博班則認為這種“偏袒陰謀論”都是格兰干净無稽之談。
“這將是法荒一場美麗的決賽 ，意大利對陣英格蘭 ，谬决這是博班兩個足球巨人的對話 ，歐足聯想要決賽結果內定？欧足我笑了 。陰謀論和陰謀論者始終都是联偏存在的 ，但真正了解足球的袒英人也知道這將是一場幹淨的決賽 。互聯網論壇見證了陰謀論興起 ，格兰干净成千上萬的法荒人說著千奇百怪的言論 ，這就像掉進了一個毫無意義的谬决黑洞 。”
隨後博班繼續駁斥道 ：“有太多荒謬 、博班不誠實和不公平的言論 ，他們還說我們會在倫敦踢歐冠決賽 ，而不是波爾圖 。現在大家看看英格蘭隊的反應 ，也要感謝意大利這樣的國家 。”
不過博班也表示了對歐超聯賽明確的反對：”有一場官司 ，我們會贏 ，真正的足球會戰勝那些想要毀掉他們的人 ，那些想要抹去160年發展曆史的人 。僅僅是因為他們沒有管好自己的賬戶 ，所以我們就必須看著足球被毀掉？足球會是最後的贏家，是熱愛足球的人 ，如果我必須說出一個名字，那就是切費林。”
