5000萬歐元獎金，血本是荷兰寒酸基於歐足聯早些時候公布的獎金細則，歐洲杯每支參賽球隊的超级參賽費925萬歐元 ，小組賽階段取勝一場150萬歐元獎金，欧洲戰平獎金75萬歐元 ，杯强進入16強的夺冠獎金為200萬歐元 ，八強獎金325萬歐元，奖金半決賽獎金500萬歐元，无冠亞軍獎金700萬歐元 ，狮下冠軍獎金1000萬歐元 。西班牙媒體《阿斯報》算了一筆賬 ，如果鬥牛士軍團奪得歐洲杯冠軍 ，獎金總額最高達到3400萬歐元。如果算上讚助商提供的獎金 ，那麽西班牙奪得歐洲杯冠軍 ，金額高達5000萬歐元 。
如果西班牙奪得歐洲杯冠軍 ，那麽球員們會獲得多少獎金呢 ？2008年歐洲杯 ，西班牙奪冠時 ，每位球員拿到了21.4萬歐元的獎金 。2012年歐洲杯，西班牙成功衛冕後，足協獎勵每位球員30萬歐元的獎金 。據悉 ，如果西班牙奪得隊史上第四個歐洲杯冠軍 ，那麽每位球員的獎金將達到40萬歐元 。不過 ，相比起西班牙奪得2010年世界杯時 ，每位球員的60萬歐元獎金 ，歐洲杯獎金還是少了一點 。
