FC inter 1908的并未被搜報道稱，在稅警拿走了國米2017-18 、查税材料2018-19兩個賽季的收集轉會賬目後 ，國米的意媒財政是非常明朗且安全的 。目前 ，国米最為特殊的总部造访一筆交易就是紮尼奧洛前往羅馬的轉會 。當時 ，紮尼奧洛作價400萬歐元加盟羅馬 ，換來了納因格蘭轉會國米。之後 ，紮尼奧洛的身價在幾個月內上漲10倍 。除此之外 ，國米的其他轉會都是屬於正常操作範疇 。
實際上 ，稅警的這次造訪隻是對國米賬目的理性檢查，並非是搜查 。意大利權威媒體《晚郵報》也報道了這次事件 ，他們表示稅警前來隻是為了獲得國米2017-18和2018-19財務報表中申報的所有資本利得的文件 ，AC米蘭也同樣接受了調查。
國際米蘭也就此次事件發表了官方聲明 ，聲明中寫道 ：“國米可以確認 ，俱樂部已經提供了相關部門要求的2017-18 、2018-19賽季部分球員出售的有關文件 。這一要求是米蘭公共檢查辦公室提出 ，他們需要核查相關資本收益是否被正確記錄在賬目中。”
“俱樂部的賬目是按照最嚴格的會計標準記錄的 ，沒有員工被調查 ，俱樂部也沒有受到任何指控 。正如公共檢查辦公室的聲明所說，這隻是一次初步調查 。”
