11月1日，国足高中國足協官方宣布 ：經與各方協商並報亞足聯批準 ，欲延2022卡塔爾世界杯亞洲區預選賽最終階段B組第五輪中國隊與阿曼隊 、续出线希需赢第六輪中國隊與澳大利亞隊的望月比賽 ，將分別於11月11日 、场求11月16日在阿聯酋沙迦舉行 。澎湃開球時間待確定後公布 。国足高
國足將於北京時間11月7日淩晨啟程 ，欲延再度前往阿聯酋沙迦 ，续出线希需赢全力以赴完成備戰和比賽任務 。望月
雖然中國足協和國足此前都希望可以回到主場來打11月的场求兩場12強賽 ，蘇州方麵也表達了願意繼續承辦國足比賽的澎湃想法，不過綜合目前的国足高疫情整體防控形勢 ，國足主場作戰條件尚不成熟 。欲延
目前12強賽已打完前四輪 ，從積分上來看——沙特四連勝拿到12分排名第一 ，澳大利亞3勝1負拿到了9分，日本和阿曼都是2勝2負積6分，國足1勝3負得到3分 。
事實上，以中國足球目前的整體水平 ，所能爭取的最好成績也就是小組第三名 。
而現在李鐵和他的球隊也需要盡可能把理論上出線希望延續下去 ，一旦11月兩場比賽全敗 ，中國隊基本上就將提前宣告出局 ，明年最後四場12強賽將進入垃圾時間 。
想要延續理論上出線希望 ，中國隊11月兩場比賽至少需要取勝1場 ，最好是兩場比賽拿到4-6分 ，這對於國足提出了很高的要求 。
