按照西班牙加泰羅尼亞電台的卷入說法 ，巴薩與莫拉塔已經非常“接近” ，补强巴萨隻差莫拉塔的锋线方斡所屬俱樂部馬競點頭 。而此前，又出尤文巴薩已經和球員本人以及目前租借俱樂部尤文圖斯都達成了協議，大招均同意這筆交易 。马竞
莫拉塔的卷入情況略複雜一些 。他暫時被馬競租借給了尤文圖斯 ，补强巴萨租借期2年 。锋线方斡目前 ，又出尤文他正執行租借合同的第二年。因此，巴薩要得到莫拉塔 ，需要2家俱樂部和球員本人 ，一共三方麵的同意 。需要注意的是 ，莫拉塔租借合同中有3500萬歐元的強製買斷條款 。尤文此前一直想降低正式買斷的金額，但未與馬競談攏。
如今 ，巴薩主帥哈維希望在冬窗將莫拉塔簽下 ，而經過斡旋 ，尤文圖斯方麵已經基本同意莫拉塔離隊 。而在此之前 ，哈維已經通過多個渠道與莫拉塔進行了對話，表明了自己對其的態度 ，也讓莫拉塔對於加盟巴薩充滿了期待 。
