關於時隔多年重返大賽決賽圈的荷蘭隊 ，近期談論得最多的主帅一個話題就是主帥弗蘭克·德波爾的變陣 。從這位教頭以及部分荷蘭球員表現出的难看那们態度來看 ，橙衣軍團將主要采用三中衛體係 ，荷兰從433變陣為532已經是主帅板上釘釘 。不過後者雖然曾經在7年前為荷蘭隊帶來世界杯小組賽的难看那们開門紅 ，目前在荷蘭國內的荷兰支持度最多也隻能算“毀譽參半” 。名宿範德法特曾公開表示踢5後衛的主帅比賽根本沒有轉播的價值 ，而部分荷蘭球迷更是难看那们拉起了“高空橫幅” ，想最後再勸說國家隊主帥一次 。荷兰
6月12日的主帅早晨 ，一架飛機從荷蘭隊的难看那们訓練營地上空飛過，身後掛著一條顯眼的荷兰標語 ：“弗蘭克 ，433就行了 ！主帅”如此讓人目光無法挪開的难看那们舉措 ，顯然可以引起德波爾的注意 ，但要打動橙衣軍團主帥的心 ，讓他“回心轉意” ，這恐怕還不夠有力 。事後在被問道對此的看法時 ，德波爾半開玩笑的回應道 ：“謝謝給出好提示 ，但我們還會堅持352 。”
留意 ，這次荷蘭隊主帥說的並不是532 ，就此他解釋道 ：“你們怎麽認為我管不了，但我更傾向於說它是352 。532聽起來有點消極，好像從一開始你就準備回收似的 。而如果你說352 ，那就是3個後衛 。”隨後德波爾還開玩笑補充道 ：“當然現在我更願意說我們的陣型是1352 ，因為我們的守門員教練總是抱怨門將被忽略了。”
那麽改叫352有沒有讓球迷們也感覺好一些呢？可以肯定的是 ，無論是532還是352 ，隻要能讓荷蘭隊收獲到好的結果 ，那就算得上是一種好陣 。而如果變陣達不到理想的效果，小組賽首輪過後各種質疑就肯定會紛湧而至 。
