從拉波爾塔的話中不難看出 ，盡管梅西暫時不算是巴薩球員了 ，但雙方對於梅西續約的態度是一致的 ，目前隻是有些財務方麵的細節沒有敲定。而加泰電台也指出 ，梅西和巴薩其實已經達成了一份五年協議 。未來兩年內 ，梅西將會繼續在巴薩踢球 。隨後三年間 ，梅西將出任巴薩在美國的形象大使 。如今雙方所要做的，就是在財政公平法案的前提下 ，如何將這份合同細節一一落實 。對於梅西是否會續約這一問題 ，巴薩球迷其實完全不需要擔憂。就像拉波爾塔所說的那樣 ，“冷靜”即可 。
