北京時間2月27日 ，捷克加赛捷克足協在當地時間星期日的宣布時候宣布 ，由於對烏克蘭發起的退出軍事衝突 ，捷克將不會出戰與俄羅斯的世预赛附潛在世預賽 。
繼波蘭和瑞典當地時間星期六宣布退出三月份的瑞典世預賽之後 ，捷克成為了最新一支退賽的波兰比赛球隊 。
捷克足協表示 ：“足協執行委員會一致通過了捷克國家隊在2022年世界杯預選賽中在任何情況下都不會與俄羅斯隊進行可能的亦抵比賽的決定。執行委員會責成捷克足協主席彼得-福塞克和秘書長米哈爾-瓦爾特與歐足聯 、制俄國際足聯討論執行委員會決定不與俄羅斯進行可能比賽的捷克加赛方案 。”
根據原有比賽計劃 ，宣布俄羅斯定於當地時間3月24日在世界杯附加賽半決賽中主場迎戰波蘭 ，退出如果晉級 ，世预赛附則將在當地時間3月29日的瑞典B組決賽中主場迎戰瑞典或捷克。
捷克足協表示 ，波兰比赛即使將比賽轉移到中立場地，亦抵他們也不會參加比賽 ，並且呼籲俄羅斯方麵盡快停止軍事行動 。
