馬德興寫道 ：亞足聯3月12日正式公布了40強賽各個小組主辦地 。权当就像記者所報道的地各那樣 ，8個小組中6個小組的界亚種子隊所屬協會獲得主辦權，令人信服 。国际這其中當然包括中國隊如願所償 。炮轰
但兩個小組將會引發爭議，伊朗预赛即伊朗隊所在的失世第三小組以及澳大利亞隊所在的第二小組 。

亞足聯在本月11日 、12日連續公布了今年亞冠聯賽小組賽以及延期後世預賽40強賽各個小組的承辦地 ，原本對獲得主辦權期望很高的伊朗可以說是“最大的輸家” ，不僅亞冠連一個小組賽的主辦權都未能獲得 ，甚至連40強賽小組賽的主辦權也旁落巴林 。伊朗各界在一致對外 、“炮轟”亞足聯與國際足聯 。
