《每日郵報》表示 ，界杯举办他們從曾經在卡塔爾世界杯申辦團隊工作的英媒成員費德拉-阿爾馬吉德（Phaedra Almajid）處得到消息 ，卡塔爾申辦團隊在2010年年初時 ，俄罗曾向國際足聯執行委員會的塔尔通过3名成員提供了每人150萬美元賄賂 ，從而買到了他們手中的勾结選票 。
