為尤文圖斯贏得歐冠冠軍是赛季C羅當初來到都靈的首要目標 ，但是罗将离队，三個賽季過去了 ，名记如今的若尤老婦人不僅未贏得歐冠獎杯 ，還丟掉了本賽季的文无意甲冠軍 ，甚至連下賽季的缘下歐冠資格都變得十分困難 。根據羅曼諾的赛季消息 ，C羅繼續留在尤文圖斯的罗将离队前提是球隊拿到下賽季的歐冠資格 ：“如果尤文圖斯無法獲得下賽季的歐冠門票 ，那麽C羅應該會要求離開 。名记屆時 ，若尤讓我們看看哪些俱樂部能夠簽下C羅 。文无他在尤文拿著一年超過3000萬歐元的天價年薪 ，在現在的大環境下 ，很難有球會可以承擔得起這樣的薪酬 。C羅繼續留隊的首要前提是尤文獲得歐冠資格 ，在聯賽還剩3輪的情況下 ，尤文目前的形勢不容樂觀。”
本賽季意甲35輪聯賽戰罷 ，尤文圖斯僅積69分排名第五，落後排名第二的亞特蘭大和排名第三的AC米蘭3分 ，落後第四名那不勒斯1分 。在聯賽僅剩三輪的情況下 ，尤文衝擊前四的前景並不被看好。C羅已經36歲了 ，盡管逆生長的CR7仍是當今時間足壇最頂級的球星之一 ，但無歐冠可踢對這樣一位超級巨星來說是無法接受的，因此 ，尤文必須全力為歐冠資格而戰 。
