最近的酣畅皇马皇馬屢屢上演精彩的大逆轉 。歐冠1/8決賽對陣巴黎 ，淋漓连扳皇馬首回合0比1輸球 ，球上第二回合又先丟一球，演大已领總比分0比2落後 ，逆转但第60分鍾後皇馬爆發 ，先巴憑借本澤馬的萨分帽子戲法淘汰巴黎 。
皇馬在獲得本輪比賽的酣畅皇马勝利後，32輪比賽23勝6平3負 ，已經拿到了75個積分。皇馬領先巴薩 、塞維利亞和馬競都是15分 ，這其中巴薩少賽2場 。巴薩周一將主場對陣加的斯 ，此外他們還有一場對巴列卡諾的比賽需要補賽 。
值得一提的是 ，這是塞維利亞本賽季西甲聯賽中首次主場失利 ，此前的15場主場比賽11勝4平保持不敗 。而塞維利亞主帥洛佩特吉在執教後一共6次對陣皇馬，均是帶領塞維利亞 ，他取得了1平5負的成績 。
賽後，英格蘭名宿萊因克爾也在個人社媒發文表示 ：“皇馬完成了難以置信的逆轉 ，2球落後下在傷停補時階段將比分改寫為3-2 ，你不會猜到是誰打進製勝球......不 ，你應該可以 。本澤馬本賽季的表現太神奇了 ！”
