國足本希望在10月7日與越南的国足世預賽12強賽前進行3場熱身賽 ，但從目前的至少支国再次专业情況看 ，這一計劃將落空 。联系由於非國際比賽日 ，家队各國聯賽正在如火如荼進行之中 ，热身國足在西亞難尋熱身對手。无果
結束與日本隊的沪媒比賽後，國足留在了西亞。买单這一方麵是国足因為入境隔離政策 ，另一方麵也是至少支国再次专业出於方便尋找熱身對手的考慮。不過 ，联系中國足協的家队如意算盤落空了 。由於現在並非國際比賽日 ，热身各國的无果國家隊基本上都沒有集中 ，所以不可能陪中國隊熱身 。沪媒據悉 ，中國足協先後聯係了巴林 、約旦 、科威特、伊拉克 、阿聯酋 、黎巴嫩、伊朗、烏茲別克等國足協 ，都是無疾而終 。中國足協也曾考慮約戰阿聯酋等國的俱樂部球隊 ，可是聯賽賽程密集 ，俱樂部為了保證聯賽的成績 ，根本無暇“陪太子讀書” 。
每年的國際比賽日早已敲定 ，阿聯酋等國的聯賽賽程也是早就安排好的 ，所以出現目前的情況 ，都是完全可以預判到的 。這一次國足在西亞難尋熱身對手 ，可以說是中國足球再次為自己的不專業而買單 。
國足出戰越南隊之前 ，將隻有與敘利亞隊的一場熱身賽 ，比賽定於9月30日進行 。
