馬德裏法院被曝要求歐洲法院介入 ，到欧審查國際足聯 、洲法歐足聯阻止歐洲超級聯賽的曝皇做法是否違反了《歐洲聯盟職能條約》第101條和第102條的內容 ，是否屬於濫用職權 。
西甲聯盟此前明確表示反對歐洲超級聯賽的成績 ，未來如果歐足聯的禁賽令下達，西甲聯盟可能安排歐冠門票的分布排名發生變化 。由於皇馬和巴薩每個賽季都能打進聯賽前4位 ，因此在未來可能遭到歐足聯禁賽的情況下 ，西甲聯盟可能安排聯賽第5位和第6位的球隊頂替皇馬和巴薩參加歐冠聯賽 。而歐聯杯的參賽位次也將順延 。
因此麵臨未來潛在的歐冠門票分配方式改變的可能 ，很多球隊此前已經無欲無求的球隊都需要在最後2輪繼續拚殺 。比如巴薩下輪對手塞爾塔目前積50分位列第8位 ，距離第6的貝蒂斯還有5分的差距 ，理論上可能會獲得臨時改製後的歐冠門票 。
