當地時間9月30日晚 ，足协足中國隊在阿聯酋沙迦與敘利亞隊進行了一場國際熱身賽 。斡旋晚开比賽開球時間較原定的延后當地時間晚7點延後了1小時至晚8點 。據悉 ，比赛此次調整事出有因——10月7日 ，时间湿热中國隊與越南隊之間的当地12強賽第3輪比賽開球時間已由原計劃的當地時間晚7點調整到晚9點，也就是气候球利北京時間8日淩晨1點 。為了給國足爭取更有利的好国競賽條件，中國足協的足协足努力見了效。
近期 ，斡旋晚开國際足聯與亞足聯官網分別更新了12強賽第3輪 、延后第4輪各場比賽開球時間。比赛其中 ，时间湿热中國隊第3輪主場與越南隊 、当地第4輪客戰沙特隊的气候球利比賽分別安排在沙迦當地時間10月7 日晚7點（北京時間7日晚11點） 、沙特吉達當地時間10月12日晚7點（北京時間13日淩晨0點）。
不過 ，據北青-北京頭條記者了解 。上述時間表由國際足聯、亞足聯根據12強賽商務開發合作夥伴與部分轉播合作夥伴根據轉播需求提出的意向性開球時間表 ，參賽各隊可根據自身需求 ，與各方協調最終開球時間 。
中國與阿聯酋和沙特分別有4小時和5小時時差，國足的這兩輪比賽均在沒有空調設備的普通球場內進行 ，因此在當地濕熱氣候條件下 ，中國隊麵臨著巨大的體能消耗 。與擅長在濕熱氣候中比賽的越南隊 、沙特隊比賽 ，中國隊有可能受到不利的影響。鑒於此，國足方麵通過中國足協前方工作組及時與包括亞足聯在內的各方斡旋，經過反複溝通 ，亞足聯最終同意將中 、越比賽開球時間安排在沙迦當地時間晚9點（北京時間8日淩晨1點），這與40強賽末輪國足與敘利亞隊比賽的時間完全一致 。別小看推遲這兩個小時，氣溫的下降對於中國隊來說肯定是利好 。
至於客戰沙特隊的比賽 ，國足也希望將開球時間盡可能安排在當地時間晚8點以後，從目前情況看 ，比賽安排在當地時間12日晚8點（北京時間13日淩晨1點）的可能性很大 。
