巴薩俱樂部的財務危機更加嚴重，冬季簽下的新援費蘭-托雷斯因沒有薪水空間遲遲無法在西甲注冊 ，巴薩很難再簽下薪水更高的博格巴。而博格巴的經紀人拉伊奧拉在去年12月接受采訪時 ，公開否認了去德甲踢球的可能性 。“博格巴基本不可能去德甲 ，因為德國人的心態是不同的 ，他們不能也不想給球員那麽高的薪水 。唯一有能力支付高薪的是拜仁 ，但即使是他們也不會給博格巴這麽高的薪水 。”
記者格勒尼耶指出 ，博格巴看起來有很多追求者 ，但事實上他最終隻有兩種選擇 ，要麽續約留在曼聯 ，要麽加盟巴黎聖日耳曼 。但博格巴本人並不願再留在曼聯 ，而巴黎聖日耳曼能夠滿足博格巴的薪水要求 ，同時大巴黎也計劃在今夏引進中場球員，因此巴黎聖日耳曼才是博格巴最有可能的去處 。
