1月11日，苏宁2022中甲聯賽第29輪開賽 ，夺冠顶级領頭羊昆山隊4-1大勝淄博蹴鞠 ，两周联赛提前5輪衝超成功。年纪念日 場比賽上半場第13分鍾 ，江苏劉逸世界波破門幫助昆山打破僵局，扎心中超足球重隨後第17分鍾 ，苏宁馮伯元頭球擴大比分 。夺冠顶级第38分鍾，两周联赛淄博蹴鞠季勝攀破門扳回一城。年纪念日下半場第59分鍾 ，江苏昆山隊張煜東推射破門將領先優勢擴大到兩球 ，扎心中超足球重隨後第67分鍾 ，苏宁昆山隊馮伯元再次破門完成梅開二度的夺冠顶级同時幫助球隊鎖定勝局 。昆山隊以一波14連勝提前5輪完成衝超 。
在衝超成功後，昆山俱樂部官方也發文表示 ：感謝所有人的付出 ，感謝一路支持與陪伴 ！夢想未盡，便戰鬥不止 ，我們一起朝著更高的目標勇往直前 。
值得一提的是 ，就在兩年前的11月12日 ，2020賽季中超聯賽爭冠決戰中 ，當時的江蘇蘇寧隊憑借這埃德爾和特謝拉的進球 ，2-1擊敗廣州恒大隊 ，在決賽兩回合較量裏總比分2比1勝出從而曆史上首次拿到中超聯賽的冠軍。而在奪冠之後不久 ，由於母公司蘇寧集團遭遇經營困境 ，這支冠軍球隊被強行解散停止運營 ，並且時至今日 ，蘇寧方麵仍舊拖欠了球員 、教練 、工作人員的薪水 ，包括吳曦、黃紫昌等在內的蘇寧球員此前也曾多次發文討薪，但始終沒有結果。
此次昆山隊成功衝超 ，江蘇足球終於又回到了中國足球頂級聯賽的舞台 ，同時 ，目前排名中甲第二位南通支雲衝上中超也隻是時間問題 ，在蘇寧解散兩年之後 ，江蘇足球終於又將迎來中超球隊 ，而且還是兩支 。
