昨天 ，集训基本中國男足在上海集結完畢 ，安排為即將開打的热身世預賽40強賽做最後衝刺 。除武磊外 ，赛叙包括補充征調的利亚王大雷和鄭錚在內的26名球員，全部參與了下午進行的沿用原先首堂訓練課 。
由於正處在中超聯賽賽季中 ，阵容大部分球員的国足身體狀態還比較疲勞，首堂訓練課教練組通過豐富的集训基本熱身喚醒訓練、結合球身體訓練 ，安排幫助球員盡快調整、热身恢複身體狀態 ，赛叙為後麵高強度訓練做好準備 。利亚

教練組原本安排昨日剛剛參加完比賽的沿用原先王大雷和鄭錚在康複師的帶領下單獨訓練，以更好地休息調整 ，但王大雷主動要求參與了隊伍合練。效力於西班牙人俱樂部的前鋒武磊5月18日才能返回上海 。
受疫情及40強賽備戰保密等因素影響 ，國足本期集訓全程嚴格遵守各項防疫規定 ，所有集訓內容不對外界開放，也不會安排熱身賽 。
而作為本組目前排名第一的球隊 ，敘利亞隊12日公布了最新一期35人集訓名單，球隊也計劃於16日在大馬士革展開集訓 。值得關注的是 ，去年11月因與突尼斯籍主教練馬魯爾發生衝突的前亞洲足球先生赫裏賓依然榜上無名 ，而新近完成入籍手續的幾名球員同樣未能入選。這意味著敘利亞隊將基本沿用原先的陣容來華參賽。
