AC米蘭 、协主席尤想踢國際米蘭和尤文圖斯是文再歐洲超級聯賽12家創始俱樂部中的3支意甲豪門 。在宣布參加歐洲超級聯賽之後 ，不退意甲三強立即受到了球迷和業內人士的出欧超下反對 ，隨後 ，季别米蘭雙雄發布公告宣布退出歐洲超級聯賽，意足意甲但尤文圖斯依然沒有退出 。协主席尤想踢早些時候 ，文再歐足聯宣布將重罰始終沒有退出歐超的尤文圖斯 、皇馬和巴塞羅那 。在那之後 ，上述三支球隊聯合發布公告 ，表示組建歐超是為了足球改革 ，為了滿足球迷對精彩賽事的期盼 ，沒有任何法令禁止組建歐超聯賽 ，歐足聯和國際足聯也沒有權利懲罰他們 。
意大利足協主席格拉維納近日在接受采訪時再次談到了歐超聯賽的話題 ，他說道 ：“我希望歐超聯賽的爭端趕緊結束 ，我們對這三家俱樂部與歐足聯之間的拉鋸戰感到非常厭倦 ，我希望自己能夠在尤文圖斯和歐足聯之間進行調解。如果再這樣發展下去，會對意大利足壇和尤文圖斯都產生不利影響 。我之前就已經說過，意大利足協遵守規則 ，不接受或者不遵守足協 、歐足聯相關規定的球隊就沒有資格參加意甲聯賽 。”
格拉維納此前在接受《Sportitalia》采訪時也發表了相同的觀點 ：“那些想要參加國際足聯或者歐足聯以外賽事的球隊將與意甲聯賽失去聯係，他們必須離開意甲賽場。我們現在不知道哪些球隊會離開 ，那些球隊會留下 ，現在必須進行一項涉及到國家隊的足球改革 。如果有球隊在6月底時參加私人性質的賽事 ，那麽他們必須離開意甲聯賽 。”
值得一提的是 ，為了防止該類事件再次發生 ，意大利足協方麵出台了新的法案 。意大利足協官方此前也發布聲明 ，表示意甲聯盟通過了“反歐洲超級聯賽”的規定 ，該項條款規定 ：“凡是注冊了意甲聯賽的俱樂部，就必須承諾不參加由私人協會組織的 ，不被國際足聯 、歐足聯和意大利足協認可的賽事。但凡參加不知名私人協會組織賽事的俱樂部，都會因此失去注冊意甲聯賽的資格 。”
