中國男足將會在6月3日至到6月15日，京媒嘉宾在蘇州與來訪的武磊馬爾代夫 、關島 、上球首先菲律賓和敘利亞進行對局，认清嘉賓們都認為舉辦世預賽是自己有利的，王長慶表示 ：“能夠舉辦高水平比分 ，京媒嘉宾體現了強國威力 ，武磊國腳們不用飛來飛去了 ，上球首先天時地利人和了 ，认清國家利益高於一切 ，自己肯定要全身心把比賽打好，如果40強賽出線不了，真的就無話可說了 。”
談到今年的國家隊和聯賽的賽程 ，魏翊東直言今年的亞冠很可能名存實亡，“今年各項賽事的優先級 ，第一是國家隊 ，第二是中超 ，然後才是亞冠和足協杯 。”
隨後談到了留洋球員武磊 ，談到武磊替補出場與對方球員發生衝突 ，魏翊東認為 ：“在中國網絡上發酵被過度解讀了，球員在場上衝突很正常 ，過度解讀了西班牙人隊友沒有幫他 ，但是看了視頻後發現不是那麽回事兒 ，沒有那麽嚴重的問題 。”
談到武磊的處境 ，王長慶建議回國 ，“我的建議是回來 ，我們首先要認清自己 ，包括之前張稀哲去狼堡 ，他們都是我們國家隊最好的球員了 ，但如果踢不上球就回來 ，我們的能力達不到歐洲比賽的水平，踢不上球了還不如回來 ，我們要認清自己 ，不能進一個球就吹的不行了 。”
徐亮則給出了不同的意見 ，“如果是以前的金元足球 ，回國了可能還能有一筆很高的收入 ，現在一限薪，武磊在歐洲隨便找一家二級俱樂部都能拿得到 。”
