作為今夏轉會市場上的曼城香餑餑 ，哈蘭德的夏窗名字頻繁與曼城聯係在了一起 。然而來自記者Luggasi的首选消息 ，哈蘭德並非曼城的凯恩首要目標，藍月軍團在今夏的而非第一選擇依舊是哈裏-凱恩。
去年夏窗 ，哈兰哈裏-凱恩一度對熱刺極度絕望 ，德原並且公開表示希望能離隊，因出而當時與英格蘭隊長傳得最有模有樣的瓜帅正是曼城 。然而由於熱刺的曼城強硬態度 ，凱恩最終未能離開 ，夏窗這也對其在賽季初期的首选狀態有了很大的影響 。
本賽季上半程 ，凯恩熱刺的而非狀態極差 ，主教練努諾也引咎下課 。哈兰而在孔蒂上任後 ，熱刺的情況有所回暖 ，目前雖然依舊落後第4名的西漢姆聯4分 ，落後第5名的阿森納2分 ，但是熱刺分別少賽了4輪和2輪 ，依舊有很大的希望打入前4 。
不過在今年夏天，曼城依舊要嚐試帶走凱恩 。記者Luggasi表示 ：“據我從曼城方麵的消息源得知的消息 ，瓜迪奧拉下賽季的第一選擇依舊是哈裏-凱恩 ，而不是哈蘭德 。有幾個消息源向我透露 ，其中的一個原因 ，是瓜迪奧拉與拉伊奧拉（哈蘭德的經紀人）之間的關係相當模糊 。”
