姆巴佩的合同將在明年夏天到期 ，但萊昂納多相信法國人會留下，“我看不到姆巴佩會在賽季結束時離開 ，沒有人會考慮巴黎的未來裏沒有基利安（姆巴佩） 。基利安和巴黎聖日耳曼的關係很深，這是為何我們不去考慮其它的原因 。基利安代表了很多東西 ，不僅僅因為他是法國人，或者他是世界上最出色的球員之一 ，他有我們喜歡的特質，並且還是所有人都喜歡的。”
萊昂納多還談到了梅西 、內馬爾 、姆巴佩的新三叉戟，“梅西 、內馬爾和姆巴佩 ，他們不是隻能看到一年的組合 。我認為他們能夠互補，每個人都有自己的特點，我看不到他們之間有什麽相互嫉妒存在 。”
