12月27日，環球足球獎將會在迪拜進行盛大的足球造頒獎典禮 。但就在昨天 ，奖官環球足球獎卻突然官方宣布，宣增在本次頒獎典禮中將會增設馬拉多納獎 。设马身打馬拉多納獎的拉多罗量頒獎對象，是纳奖取得卓越成績 、擁有純粹天賦和對比賽不懈熱愛的环球球員 。
馬拉多納去年去世 ，足球造但環球足球獎卻沒有增設馬拉多納獎 。奖官如今老馬已經去世一年多了 ，宣增環球足球獎卻突然在頒獎典禮幾天前增設了這一獎項 。设马身打環球足球獎的拉多罗量操作實在是令人感到迷惑 ，而這早已不是纳奖該獎項第一次如此隨意運作了 。在今年環球足球獎投票第一階段，环球甚至出現了官方鼓勵買票的行為 。球迷們免費注冊後可以得到10票，1美元可以再買10票 ，2美元可以買30票 ，最高50美元可以買3000票 。
環球足球獎如今增設馬拉多納獎 ，顯然時間上不足以通過投票來決定最終得主了 。最終的獲獎人 ，必然將會是主辦方內部指定的 。環球足球獎原本就是歐洲足球經紀人協會和歐洲足球俱樂部協會聯合創辦的 ，這一獎項與C羅經紀人門德斯淵源極深。考慮到C羅本年度的表現並不足以贏得最佳球員獎項 ，這個馬拉多納獎很可能是特地為C羅所增設的 。
