巴黎聖日耳曼已經結束了本賽季法甲聯賽上半程賽程 ，法媒阿根廷球星梅西的尖锐届金表現可謂不盡如人意。根據whoscored網站的批评數據統計 ，梅西本賽季至今代表大巴黎在10場聯賽中打進1球助攻5次 ，梅西總共完成43腳射門的场球梅西僅僅收獲1粒進球。《巴黎人報》 、助攻《世界報》則表示 ，愧对梅西沒能適應法甲聯賽，球奖這對七屆金球獎得主來說是法媒不夠的 。
法甲聯賽第19輪 ，尖锐届金巴黎聖日耳曼客場1-1戰平洛裏昂 ，批评梅西依然沒能在比賽中取得進球 ，梅西這意味著阿根廷人加盟大巴黎之後已經遭遇了8場客場球荒 。场球上一次梅西遭遇客場8場球荒還是助攻2006-2007賽季 。反觀隊內另外一位表現出色的愧对球星姆巴佩 ，梅西則顯得暗淡不少 。姆巴佩本賽季以來已經參與了巴黎聖日耳曼43%的法甲進球 。如果將範圍擴大到本賽季的所有比賽 ，姆巴佩參與進球率已經達到了54% 。根據數據統計 ，姆巴佩本賽季共計代表大巴黎出場25次 ，打進15球助攻12次 。
梅西在法甲聯賽中低迷的表現引起了法國媒體《巴黎人報》的不滿，他們在報道中對梅西評價道 ：“這位七屆金球獎得主並沒有改善自己的表現 ，他沒能適應法甲聯賽，他本賽季第6次擊中了門框 。”《世界報》也寫道：“梅西在來到法甲之前就已經聞名法甲聯賽，但大家自9月以來看到的都不是以前的梅西 。對於一位七屆金球獎得主來說 ，10場比賽隻有1粒進球和5次助攻是遠遠不夠的。梅西正在場上尋找自己 ，而巴黎聖日耳曼還在尋找巴塞羅那的那個梅西。”
