北京時間1月24日，據《太陽報》報道 ，海冠或率前上海上港冠軍主帥佩雷拉有望執掌埃弗頓 ，军主接過前大連一方主帥貝尼特斯下課後的帅接班 。
佩雷拉在上個月剛剛被土耳其的班前費內巴切俱樂部解雇，目前他是大连自由身，這給他的主帅战英入主增添了重要砝碼 。
盡管埃弗頓的武磊選帥名單上還包括魯尼 、鄧肯-弗格森、前上蘭帕德等各種各樣的海冠或率候選人 ，但目前佩雷拉似乎是军主最為接近這一崗位的人 。
在周末的帅接比賽日，太妃糖剛剛以0-1不敵阿斯頓維拉 ，班前這使得埃弗頓球迷們加深了對於球隊降級的大连恐懼 。他們目前以19分名列英超第16 。主帅战英
但門將皮克福德堅持認為 ，這家自1951年以來就沒有降過級的俱樂部最終肯定能夠挺下來 。目前，鄧肯-弗格森正臨時擔任著俱樂部的看守教練 。
佩雷拉的個人執教履曆還算頗為豐富，他曾經擔任波爾圖、奧林匹亞科斯、慕尼黑1860 、費內巴切等隊的主帥 。
最值得中國球迷關注的是 ，他在2017年12月起擔任上海上港主帥 ，執教三個賽季 ，並率隊奪得了2018賽季中超冠軍 。當時武磊還在隊中 ，創造了進球紀錄。
或許 ，如果佩雷拉執掌埃弗頓成真 ，目前在西班牙人境況不佳的武磊將有機會體驗英超 ？
