切爾西近期狀態十分不理想 ，老板早早退出了英超爭冠軍團 ，目睹又剛剛徹底夢斷歐冠衛冕之路，西轮现场因此在聯賽中維持前四 、不胜被绝爭奪下賽季歐冠席位成為圖赫爾眼下的争悬終極目標 。可偏偏怕什麽來什麽 ，如今在爭四的路上 ，藍軍卻再一次栽了大跟頭 。此役主場迎戰狼隊 ，切爾西在上半時兩度破門均被吹無效 ，下半時開局不久 ，隨著盧卡庫3分鍾內連入兩球 ，原以為藍軍此番勝利在望 ，不曾想特林康和考迪的進球終結了這一切 。

說切爾西近期戰績一落千丈並不為過 。在本輪遭狼隊絕平之前，他們先是在與曼聯的對話中1-1戰成了平局 ，隨後又給蘭帕德“送溫暖” ，以0-1輸給了神燈執教的保級隊埃弗頓 。也就是說 ，切爾西已連續3輪英超未能取勝！需要指出的是 ，從2-4輸給阿森納開始 ，藍軍近5輪比賽僅拿到了1場勝利 ，其餘3戰2平2負 ，足足丟了10分 ！毫不誇張地說 ，這對於力求爭四的切爾西而言堪稱災難 ！
