北京時間6月1日，尤文來自葡萄牙的看中媒體《Sic noticias》的消息稱 ，意甲豪門尤文看中北京國安中衛金玟哉 。国安供年高额斑馬軍將會為這位韓國球員提供一份為期四年的中卫哉提合同，同時在合同中存在4500萬歐元的金玟金解約金條款 。
金玟哉此前在韓國的合同全北現代隊踢球 ，2019年的违约1月份轉會到了中超球隊北京國安 ，北京國安為金玟哉提供一份為期4年，尤文總價值1500萬美元的看中合同，年薪相當於金玟哉在全北現代的国安供年高额8倍 。
加盟國安後 ，中卫哉提金玟哉發揮出色，金玟金也成為了國安的合同主力中衛 ，但是违约在去年參加一檔韓國綜藝節目時吐槽隊友的舉動 ，使得他與國安之間發生了矛盾 ，尤文隨後金玟哉也成為了國安球迷關注的焦點，哪怕一次小小的失誤可能都會被放大 ，被調侃為不想為國安效力 ，甚至隻要國安輸球時他在場 ，都會成為背鍋俠 。也正是因為如此 ，有關金玟哉將會離隊的消息不斷 ，英超熱刺切爾西 、荷甲埃因霍溫 、意甲拉齊奧都與他有過緋聞。
葡萄牙媒體《Sic noticias》的最新消息稱 ，意甲豪門尤文圖斯非常欣賞金玟哉 。目前尤文的中衛配置為德利赫特 、基耶利尼 、博努奇以及德米拉爾 。基耶利尼年事已高 ，而德米拉爾的發揮不穩定 ，球隊也急需在中衛位置補強 。
金玟哉與國安的合同在2021年年底到期 ，因此尤文引進這位韓國中衛有兩個選擇。第一是等待金玟哉合同到期後簽約。第二是在今年夏窗引進金玟哉 ，然後租借至薩索洛半個賽季以適應環境 。據悉 ，尤文會給韓國人提供一份4年的合同 ，而且會在合同中加入4500萬歐的解約金條款 。
