北京時間1月22日 ，曼城據《曼徹斯特晚報》透露 ，签下曼城已經敲定了阿根廷鋒線小將阿爾瓦雷斯 ，岁阿身不過在簽約後球員會被先租借回河床踢完本賽季 。根廷
現年21歲的妖人阿爾瓦雷斯目前效力於阿根廷豪門河床，可以踢邊鋒和中鋒位置 。曼城本賽季阿爾瓦雷斯出場21次，签下已經打進18球助攻7次 ，岁阿身並且入選了阿根廷國家隊 。根廷阿爾瓦雷斯和河床的妖人合同在2022年12月底到期 ，有多家歐洲豪門對阿爾瓦雷斯感興趣 。曼城此前曼聯、签下馬競 、岁阿身國米 、根廷那不勒斯都試圖引進這位鋒線新星，妖人但最終曼城在轉會競爭中獲勝 。
據《曼徹斯特晚報》報道 ，曼城將以1700萬英鎊的價格簽下阿爾瓦雷斯，而且和球員簽約四年半 。在簽約後曼城同意把阿爾瓦雷斯租借回河床，等到今年夏天再加盟曼城 。著名足球記者斯基拉 、羅馬諾等人也證實阿爾瓦雷斯願意加盟曼城 。
不過《曼徹斯特晚報》指出 ，簽下阿爾瓦雷斯並不意味著曼城停止鋒線引援 。在去年夏天阿圭羅離隊後 ，曼城一直想要尋找他的替代者 ，而今年夏天曼城仍會努力引進一名頂級中鋒 ，凱恩 、哈蘭德都是曼城的夏季引援目標 。
