曼城-諾丁漢森林
曼城開場就全麵占據主動猶如攻防演練 ，麵對諾丁漢森林的鐵桶陣不斷嚐試打穿防線 ，可惜都是屢屢無功而返 ，直到格拉利什助攻B席外圍遠射轟出一記世界波打破僵局 。下半場福登單刀到禁區突然腿軟失良機 ，哈蘭德禁區疑似被犯規裁判毫無表示 ，接著他門前連續斯特林附體 ，這樣無數次錯失進球的機會後 ，懷特助攻伍德門前搶點扳平 ，最終諾丁漢森林1-1曼城各取一分 。
這場比賽哈蘭德禁區被犯規無疑是裁判的問題 ，可瓜迪奧拉始終不換人顯得太死板 ，福登和哈蘭德都接連錯失絕佳的機會，狀態屬實不佳 ，要是早早進行輪換說定三分穩穩拿下。
切爾西-南安普頓
麵對英超倒數第一的南安普頓 ，十億豪陣的切爾西看到贏球的希望 ，隻是沒想到比賽開始的反正就讓他們措手不及 ，聖徒接連的威脅進攻讓球門岌岌可危 ，上半場補時階段普勞斯的任意球直接破門給藍軍當頭一棒 。下半場斯特林找到快樂屢失良機 ，阿斯皮利奎塔受傷離場雪上加霜，全場比賽結束切爾西0-1不敵南安普頓遭對手賽季雙殺。
另外英超第23輪同時段結束的比賽還有布倫特福德1-1絕平水晶宮 、富勒姆1-0絕殺布萊頓 、埃弗頓1-0利茲聯以及伯恩茅斯1-0狼隊 。
