曼聯在2013年就和俄羅斯Aeroflot航空公司簽署了讚助商業合同，朗尼类灾並且在2017年續約，克战讚助費高達4000萬英鎊 。曼联曼聯在歐戰去客場參賽時都會乘坐Aeroflot航空公司的解除包機。但本周曼聯客場對馬競的俄航歐冠比賽 ，曼聯全隊改坐英國泰坦航空公司的赞助争人包機 。目前英國首相鮑裏斯-約翰遜已經宣布 ，合同多家俄羅斯公司受到英國製裁 ，朗尼类灾其中就包括Aeroflot航空公司 。克战
本周五曼聯俱樂部發布聲明稱 ：“鑒於烏克蘭目前發生的曼联衝突 ，我們已經解除了俄羅斯航空公司的讚助合同 。我們和全世界的球迷們一樣 ，對受到衝突影響的人們表示同情 。”之後媒體還發現，曼聯主場老特拉福德球場已經去掉了停車場上Aeroflot航空公司的大幅廣告 。
在本輪英超曼聯對沃特福德的賽前新聞發布會上，曼聯主帥朗尼克也被問到了俄烏衝突的相關話題。朗尼克首先稱 ：“情況非常悲慘 ，我想每個人都會有類似的想法 。我們在歐洲發生了一場戰爭 ，這真的令人難以置信。”
朗尼克去年還在俄超莫斯科火車頭俱樂部任職 ，他表示 ：“我認為每個人都對那裏發生的事情有相同的看法 ，對於所有相關人員來說 ，這都是一場人類的災難 。目前據我所知 ，俄羅斯和莫斯科的局勢依然是安全的 ，但這並沒有改變整體局勢令人極度悲傷。”
朗尼克接著說 ：“當我早上和晚上看電視時，我依然無法相信自己所看到的 。這真的是一個可怕的情況 ，我非常希望世界各地的政客們能緩和局勢 ，結束目前正在那裏發生的事情 。”
歐足聯已經宣布 ，剝奪俄羅斯聖彼得堡的本賽季歐冠決賽主辦權 ，將決賽改在法國巴黎進行 。對此朗尼克表示支持 ：“我認為歐足聯做出的這個決定是不可避免的 ，而且也是正確的決定 。”
