前段時間 ，友非外界一致盛傳李鐵將出任陝西長安競技主教練。常想陝西長安競技足球俱樂部的拉把投資人是許宏濤 。當年 ，曝李許宏濤被稱為“中國足球第一經紀人” ，铁因是口无李鐵 、孫繼海等球員的遮拦經紀人 ，成功運作了李鐵前往英超踢球 ，所以李鐵與許宏濤曾經是一條戰壕裏的親密戰友 。
李鐵從國足下課之後，許宏濤也非常想拉他一把 ，幫助他東山再起 。李鐵也確實有帶隊衝超的成功經驗 。2015年8月 ，李鐵成為河北華夏幸福的主帥 ，帶隊獲得中甲第二衝超成功。2018年 ，李鐵率領武漢卓爾一路高歌猛進衝超成功 。不過 ，在傳出李鐵有望出任陝西長安競技主教練的消息後 ，不少陝西球迷公開表態表示 ，如果李鐵執教球隊 ，自己再也不看球隊的比賽 。
在執教國足期間，李鐵口無遮攔 ，懟天懟地 ，還發帶貨微博 ，損害了國足的利益 ，這不僅令他提前結束國足主帥生涯，還影響到了自身的形象。在外界的壓力下 ，許宏濤最終選擇了王寶山出任球隊主教練 。
