梅西與巴薩的梅西每天合同在今年的6月30日到期 ，截止到目前為止 ，自由他與巴薩的身天损失續約還沒有進展 。法國媒體《隊報》指出，工资梅西自由身十天以來 ，欧万欧工資方麵至少損失了100萬歐元 ，平均梅西平均每天的梅西每天工資損失高達10萬歐元 。
梅西去年夏天就曾希望離開巴薩，自由但是身天损失由於不願意與巴薩對簿公堂因此選擇留守。而在今年的工资6月30日，梅西與巴薩的欧万欧合同到期 ，梅西也成為了自由球員 。平均此前按照梅西與巴薩的梅西每天合同 ，他每個賽季的自由工資為7490萬歐元 。
而根據目前的身天损失報道 ，巴薩現在願意為梅西提供一份新的續約合同 ，雖然續約合同的工資會有所下滑 ，但是梅西依舊可以每天領取10萬歐元的工資 。因此這也意味著 ，梅西成為自由身後的10天 ，已經損失了100萬歐元的工資收入 。
根據此前媒體的報道 ，巴薩已經開始說服其他巴薩球員降薪 ，為梅西的續約騰出薪金空間。另外巴薩還希望用格列茲曼換薩烏爾 ，此舉也與續約梅西有一定的關係 ，因為格列茲曼與薩烏爾進行交換的話 ，巴薩會在財務報表上取得紙麵的盈利 ，這有利於給梅西巨額年薪合同 。
