由於巴黎聖日耳曼首回合4-1客場擊敗巴薩，法媒未來PSG很有可能在主場完成晉級工作。内马不過到了1/4決賽階段 ，战巴战內馬爾可能會無緣首回合比賽 。因為巴西前鋒需要配合法國國內的防疫規定 ，即非歐盟球員在入境法國之後必須隔離一周 。而本月月底 ，內馬爾如果要回到巴西國家隊參加世預賽的話 ，待到返回法國 ，隔離時間恰好導致自己無法出戰歐冠8強戰首回合比賽 。
巴西隊將在本月末迎來對陣智利和秘魯的比賽，桑巴軍團主帥蒂特此前就表示盡量不會征召在歐洲踢球的球員 ，而這兩場比賽，巴西隊憑借在本土聯賽踢球的球員 ，取勝問題也不大 。此外內馬爾本人的意願也很重要 ，但執意回國比賽恐怕會讓巴黎聖日耳曼為難，因為此前巴西人也公開發文表示自己意識到頻繁因傷缺席比賽有些愧對大巴黎。
而歐洲很多國家也有類似於法國這樣的防疫規定 ，非歐盟球員在入境後都要麵臨長短不一的隔離政策 。此前克洛普和索爾斯克亞都公開表示不會放利物浦和曼聯的球員去各自國家隊比賽 ，而梅西作為阿根廷球員也麵臨這樣的問題 。事情如何解決 ，還要看各國國家隊主帥的決策和溝通了 。
