北京時間6月10日 ，曝厄據英國《太陽報》的瓜多国籍消息 ，世界杯32強中的尔因厄瓜多爾 ，如今正麵臨著被逐出世界杯的造假逐出可能，因為他們在使用球員時涉嫌國籍造假，将被而智利則將遞補獲得世界杯的世界參賽資格 。
上個月 ，杯智补智利方麵向國際足聯提出抗議 ，利递稱在世界杯南美區預選賽中 ，曝厄厄瓜多爾球員卡斯蒂略涉嫌國籍造假 ，瓜多国籍這起事件如今將得到裁決 。尔因

而《太陽報》還指出 ，盡管秘魯是排名南美區第五的球隊 ，但智利卻會獲得遞補參加世界杯的資格 ，這頗有當初俄羅斯遭到禁賽 ，意大利媒體認為作為未進入世界杯中國際足聯排名最高的球隊 ，意大利將獲得遞補資格的意味 。
