而尼斯俱樂部主席讓-皮埃爾-裏維爾則暗示貢多齊的主席指责止比傷勢是偽造的，他在接受《隊報》采訪時表示 ：“除了這些隨處可見的贡多照片之外 ，並沒有任何針對馬賽球員的齐诈暴力行為 。順便說一句 ，貢多齊在球場上時脖子上沒有任何痕跡，這一點也有照片可以證明。”

此外馬賽俱樂部的美國老板弗蘭克-麥考特則表示 ：“這本該是一場精彩的比賽，但卻演變成令人遺憾的暴力事件 。我支持馬賽俱樂部主席朗格裏亞做出的離開球場不再繼續比賽的決定 ，因為當時球員和球迷們的安全已經無法得到保障 。”
