伊拉克隊雖然也被扣分，全亚前已不過因為隻被扣掉了7.6分 ，洲第因此仍超越了中國隊 ，亚洲國足如此一來無論是在亞足聯榜單上 ，還是總榜單上都退後了一位 。目前列亞洲第九 ，總排名第75位。距離伊拉克隊有11.6分的差距，領先亞洲第十的阿曼隊12.8分 。不過由於三月份12強賽最後兩輪 ，中國隊將是先後對陣沙特阿拉伯隊和阿曼隊 ，因此如果仍繼續墮落 ，尤其是同阿曼隊的直接對話再輸球 ，恐怕排名還會進一步下滑 。
亞洲前四伊朗隊 、日本隊 、韓國隊和澳大利亞隊 ，此次積分都有不同程度的增加 ，其中A組的伊朗隊 、韓國隊漲分都在15分左右 ，且伊韓兩強已經提前出線 。日本隊則是此次“搶分”最多的亞足聯球隊，在先後戰勝中國隊和沙特阿拉伯隊後總共增加了18.3分 。根據國際足聯的計劃 ，最新一期的FIFA男足國家隊排名將於2月10日正式公布 。（卓奧友）
