之後，當時謝暉自己也在微博上做了澄清和道歉 ，“昨天參加朋友飯局 ，喝了很多酒。不知道對麵的人別有用心 ，進行了偷拍 ，把一些我酒醉的話發到了網上 。並且添油加醋 。嚴重損害了我的名譽。對此類人渣深惡痛絕 ，本人保留法律訴訟的權利 ！同時在向言語中提及的單位（成都蓉城 、上海申花 、上海上港、南通支雲）表示深切的道歉。”
謝暉去年初成為南通支雲俱樂部主教練 ，至今執教了一個半賽季 。上賽季 ，南通支雲排名中甲聯賽中遊 。今年 ，南通支雲一度排名在前四 ，最近戰績有所下滑 ，第一階段18輪比賽後 ，暫時排在第7名 ，離升級附加賽區有6分的差距。
在執教南通支雲前，謝暉是上海海港俱樂部一線隊的中方助理教練 ，輔佐過博阿斯 、佩雷拉這兩位外籍主教練 。
