當地時間4月13日 ，京媒歸化球員艾克森作為新外援參加了由巴乙格雷米奧俱樂部為他舉辦的艾克新聞發布會。“小熊”身披格雷米奧隊9號球衣亮相發布會 。森表期間 ，态踢他還明確表態 ，亚洲有深希望代表中國隊參加於明年舉辦的杯证亞洲杯賽 。
與此前加盟巴甲米內羅美洲俱樂部的明对另一位歸化國腳洛國富不同 ，艾克森作為國足征調的中国足球首位歸化球員 ，是厚感所有歸化球員中代表國足出場次數最多的球員 。遺憾的京媒是，在12強賽期間 ，艾克他未能幫助球隊進球。森表球隊也最終遺憾無緣躋身卡塔爾世界杯決賽圈。态踢
去年底與老東家廣州足球俱樂部解約後 ，亚洲有深艾克森一直身在巴西 。杯证他此前也曾希望能夠繼續留在中超效力 ，但事與願違 。在諸多拋出橄欖枝的巴西職業俱樂部中 ，艾克森最終選定了老牌球會格雷米奧 。
在當地時間13日舉行的新聞發布會上 ，艾克森再次提到了中國足球和中國隊 ，並表態自己要繼續幫助中國足球 。他說 ：“我打算明年參加亞洲杯 ，我仍然想要幫助中國足球 。中國球迷們非常喜歡我 ，所以我希望我能保持高水平並參加亞洲杯 ，幫助國家隊贏得冠軍 。不幸的是 ，我們無法進入世界杯 ，但下個周期我們還有機會 。”
艾克森年近33歲，到明年亞洲杯開賽的時候將年滿34歲。從上述表態來看，他對於中國足球有著深厚的感情 。不過屆時能否入選代表國足參賽 ，也要視球隊接下來的構建計劃以及教練用人思路而定。
