在遞交辭呈之後 ，費蘭-雷夫特給出了他的辭職原因 ：“我從德國回到巴塞羅那快一年了 ，我做出這一決定的主要原因就是為了家庭 。不久之前 ，我接受拉波爾塔邀約 ，成為巴薩CEO 。這是充滿激情的幾個月 ，我感謝主席的信任 。他的熱情和領導能力 ，意味著巴薩擁有一流的管理團隊 ，巴薩能夠重新回到世界前列 。從我個人而言 ，我在這幾個月中付出了很大的努力 。但現在我想把重點放回我回到巴塞羅那的原因尚，那就是把更多時間用在個人和家庭之上。”
