消息的反防來源是一名叫Romain Henry的記者，目前 ，疫规這條推特引起了廣泛傳播。曝比這名記者寫道：“在美洲杯期間，达尔等名定智利正經曆一場新的智利危機。比達爾 、美洲梅德爾 、杯期巴爾加斯打破衛生防疫規定 ，间招妓违將妓女帶入他們的反防酒店房間 。智利主帥馬丁-拉薩爾特可能辭職 ，球員沒有參加訓練 。”
隨後 ，西班牙媒體《馬卡報》稱，這6名球員是比達爾 、梅德爾 、巴爾加斯 、梅內塞斯 、加爾達梅斯 、阿蘭吉斯 。
