北京時間8月29日淩晨，官方英超勁旅西漢姆聯在官網宣布，蓝军球隊與切爾西達成一致 ，后卫藍軍陣中的祖马转中衛祖馬加盟 。據悉，加盟西漢姆聯給祖馬的西汉一份為期4年的合同 ，而根據意大利著名記者羅馬諾的姆联消息 ，祖馬的费万轉會費為3000萬歐元 。
祖馬在法甲的官方聖艾蒂安成名 ，在2014年的蓝军1月份 ，這位中衛加盟了切爾西 ，后卫轉會費為1500萬歐元。祖马转加盟切爾西後 ，加盟祖馬從替補開始打起，西汉隨後與特裏成為球隊的姆联中衛搭檔 。但是祖馬在切爾西的日子並不是一帆風順 ，在2017-2018賽季被租借到斯托克城，而在2018-2019賽季被租借到埃弗頓。
上賽季祖馬回到切爾西 ，各項賽事出戰36場比賽 ，攻入5粒進球，出場時間2948分鍾。但是圖赫爾的到來讓祖馬在切爾西沒有了未來 ，根據統計 ，在圖赫爾執教後 ，祖馬隻為切爾西踢了9場英超聯賽 ，他在球隊已經失去了位置 。
圖赫爾對於塞維利亞中衛孔德非常欣賞 ，也正是因為如此 ，切爾西也動起了清洗祖馬的心思 。根據此前媒體的報道 ，祖馬對於轉會西漢姆聯沒有異議 ，但是在工資上 ，雙方有分歧 。而就在北京時間8月29日淩晨 ，西漢姆聯在官網宣布了簽下祖馬，這位中衛會與球隊簽訂一份到2025年到期的合同 。而根據意大利著名記者羅馬諾的消息 ，祖馬的轉會費為3000萬歐元。
隨著祖馬的離開 ，切爾西也會全力簽下孔蒂 ，羅馬諾此前在推特上表示 ，過去幾周孔德已經和切爾西就個人合同條款達成了協議 ，雙方同意簽約至2026年6月 。
