北京時間4月16日下午，罗马林遭英國媒體《每日鏡報》曝出猛料 ，中卫中被這家媒體稱 ，斯莫在意甲羅馬隊踢球的遇持中衛斯莫林所居住的別墅遭到了三名歹徒的搶劫 。據悉 ，枪抢這三名歹徒攜帶有槍支，胁迫斯莫林無奈之下將三塊勞力士手表以及幾件黃金首飾交給了劫匪 。罗马林遭
斯莫林這位昔日在曼聯踢球的中卫中被中衛由於無法在紅魔得到出場機會 ，因此離開曼聯到羅馬踢球 。斯莫在羅馬陣中 ，遇持斯莫林也成為了絕對的枪抢主力 。斯莫林因為有傷在身 ，胁迫因此沒有參加羅馬與阿賈克斯的罗马林遭歐聯杯淘汰賽 ，而留在家中的中卫中被他卻遭遇了搶劫 。
據悉 ，斯莫在意大利當地時間周五的淩晨 ，斯莫林一家居住的別墅遭到了搶劫 ，搶劫的歹徒一共有三人 ，而且都配備槍支 。在搶劫發生時 ，斯莫林與他的妻子以及兒子都在家中，在歹徒的威脅下，斯莫林不得不打開自己的保險箱，將三塊勞力士手表和幾件黃金珠寶交給劫匪 。
搶劫發生後 ，斯莫林的妻子就立即打電話報警 ，而羅馬警方也在接到報案後第一時間來到現場 ，目前此案也正在調查中 。需要指出的是 ，羅馬隊對於斯莫林的處境也非常擔憂，也給英格蘭中衛提供了部分幫助 。
