當地時間5月10日，皇马據著名記者羅馬諾的敲定切尔签字報道 ，切爾西中後衛呂迪格加盟皇馬一事已經100%完成 ，腿欧皇馬方麵確認德國中衛已經通過俱樂部方麵的冠决官宣體檢 ，這筆簽約將在歐冠決賽之後得到官宣 。赛后
呂迪格現年29歲，费万德國籍中後衛 。皇马由於與切爾西間的敲定切尔签字續約談判不順，呂迪格將在今夏以自由身離隊 。腿欧在德國《轉會市場》中 ，冠决官宣呂迪格目前的赛后身價為3500萬歐元 。
據《The 费万Athletic》的消息 ，呂迪格將與皇馬簽訂一份為期4年的皇马合同 ，稅後年薪大約在900萬歐元至1000萬歐元之前。敲定切尔签字而德國記者Patrick Berger則透露 ，腿欧由於是自由轉會加盟皇馬 ，因此呂迪格將獲得大筆簽字費用 ，金額高達3500萬歐元 ，與其身價相當。
此外據消息人士透露，呂迪格與皇馬的合同中將包含4億歐元的解約金條款 ，這也是西甲球隊與球員簽約時合同中的常規部分 。
