荷蘭隊陣容星光熠熠 ，杯首尤其是德利後防線 ，更是赫特擁有範迪克以及德利赫特這對黃金搭檔，球隊也是伤势奪冠的熱門球隊 。但是未愈範迪克因為受傷已經無緣歐洲杯的比賽 。而在歐洲杯開戰之前 ，西媒席荷德利赫特這位來自尤文的将缺球員也遭遇了傷病的困擾。
此前 ，德利赫特因為腹股溝的傷勢退出了訓練 ，在過去的一周 ，德利赫特的腹股溝傷勢沒有任何的好轉 ，他也缺席了荷蘭對戰格魯吉亞的比賽（歐洲杯前荷蘭的最後一場熱身賽） 。
《每日體育報》稱 ，從目前的情況分析看 ，德利赫特難以在荷蘭隊的歐洲杯小組賽首戰烏克蘭的比賽中複出 ，這對於荷蘭隊是巨大的損失。需要指出的是 ，由於範迪克和德利赫特都無法出戰與烏克蘭的比賽 ，荷蘭主帥德波爾將會重組球隊的中衛組合。布林德與德弗賴將會成為首發的中衛 。
