當地時間9月21日 ，沙特赛条沙特阿拉伯阿爾希拉爾俱樂部通過官方渠道確認，主力該俱樂部隊中場核心 ，因伤薩勒姆·多薩裏因傷將休養至少3到4周，缺战這意味著他將鐵定無緣參加10月12日卡塔爾世預賽亞洲區12強賽第3輪沙特隊主場與中國隊的国足比賽。而這對於中國隊來說 ，队长無疑是或亦一個好消息。
作為沙特隊絕對中場核心球員 ，不具备参薩勒姆·多薩裏在9月18日代表阿爾希拉爾隊參加與陣伊蒂法克隊的沙特赛条一場沙特聯賽比賽中不慎受傷。他於比賽第79分鍾被替換下場。主力賽後 ，因伤經醫生會診 ，缺战阿爾希拉爾俱樂部確認多薩裏左腳跟腱撕裂 ，国足他因此麵臨至少3到4周左右的队长休養 。
賽曆顯示 ，或亦沙特隊將分別於10月7日 、12日對陣12強賽第3輪 、第4輪的對手日本隊 、中國隊 ，重傷的多薩裏鐵定無法參加此兩場比賽 。此外 ，阿爾希拉爾隊將於10月中旬與伊朗波斯波利斯隊進行1場亞冠關鍵戰 ，多薩裏同樣會缺席該場比賽 。換言之 ，他一個人的受傷將給俱樂部隊 、國家隊分別帶來巨大損失。
擅長左腳控球，且習慣在中場偏左路遊弋的多薩裏 ，是整個沙特隊進攻體係中非常重要的一員 。此前他還曾作為超齡球員代表沙特國奧隊參加了東京奧運會。12強賽首輪沙特隊主場對陣越南隊比賽期間 ，主隊正是憑借他的進球追平比分，並最終逆轉取勝 。
除了多薩裏外 ，同樣來自阿爾希拉爾隊的防守型中場阿卜杜拉赫·奧塔伊夫因12強賽首輪戰越南隊比賽期間受傷 ，也將錯過10月的兩輪12強賽 。當地時間9月20日，奧塔伊夫在德國接受了手術治療 ，未來他至少還需要6周左右時間才能重返綠茵場 。
同樣效力於阿爾希拉爾隊的攻擊型球員 、沙特隊隊長薩勒曼·法拉伊目前正受傷病困擾。雖然有媒體報道稱 ，法拉伊近期已恢複訓練 ，但俱樂部方麵認為他目前並不具備參賽的條件。
